CDPA, PC, ANNOUNCES JEREMY T. BLACKBURN, CPA, HAS JOINED THE FIRM

HUNTSVILLE/ATHENS, -- CDPA, PC, announces that Jeremy T. Blackburn, CPA, has joined the firm’s Audit department as a Manager.

Blackburn is responsible for managing audit, review and compliance engagements.  This involves providing objective and independent audit and assurance services to evaluate an organization’s profitability, efficiency, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.    Blackburn’s duties will also include supervising other CDPA audit staff as well as tax preparation and planning. 

            In addition to audit and review, Blackburn’s practice specializations also include accounting and advisory services, mergers and acquisitions, implementation and evaluation of internal control systems, manufacturing, healthcare, and employee benefit plan services and audits.  His clients include governmental, not-for-profit and for-profit entities.

Prior to joining CDPA, Blackburn spent six years working as an audit manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers.  He also worked as a senior in the audit and tax department in the Nashville-based firm Davidson, Golden & Lundy prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers.  He graduated from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance.  He also obtained a Masters of Business degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.  Blackburn received his CPA certification from the states of Alabama and Tennessee in 2005.

Blackburn is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA), and sits on the University of North Alabama School of Accounting and Business Law Advisory Council Board.  He is a native of Lauderdale County and currently resides in Athens with his wife, Anna, and their son, Cameron.
